Borg Havn IKS – ISPS Basic Course – English

The port’s central role as a logistical hub is a vulnerability for society, and ports are therefore defined as critical infrastructure. Especially during emergencies such as natural disasters, war, and pandemics, it becomes clear how dependent we are on efficient logistics to support society’s fundamental needs.

An ISPS port facility is a restricted area with heightened security—similar to how an airport operates. To reduce risk to society and contribute to increased security, everyone present at an ISPS port facility must follow local guidelines, remain vigilant, and report suspicious activity. This is a prerequisite for being granted access permission.
